Lexington, Ky. – Baptist Health Lexington has been named the best hospital in the state of Kentucky, according to a new ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
In the report, the top five Kentucky hospitals are:
1. Baptist Health Lexington
2. St. Elizabeth Edgewood
3. Norton Hospital, Louisville
4. Baptist Health Louisville
5. University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital
For the rankings, a many factors were considered, including death rates, patient safety and hospital reputation. According to the report, Kentucky has about 130 hospitals. The news organization also ranked Kentucky hospitals in the Cincinnati metro area and in the Louisville metro area.
No Kentucky hospital was ranked in the top 15 in the nation.
