Leadership Paducah deadline is Friday

PADUCAH, Ky. (May 7, 2012) The deadline to apply for the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2012-13 Leadership Paducah class is Friday, May 11.

Leadership Paducah, in its 26 year, is designed to foster an in-depth understanding of Paducah-McCracken County’s many and complex interrelationships. In their monthly day-long sessions, participants will learn about the community’s government, industry, tourism, health and education sectors, to name just a few. Through this program, they become aware of social and economic changes, and the impact of such changes in the community.

“Employers should consider the Leadership Paducah program for their employees at varying levels in their organizations. Providing this opportunity to your employee is an investment in your company. In times like these, we all need to use our money wisely, and Leadership Paducah is an avenue in which a company will gain a significant return on investment,” said Joni Goodman, Leadership Paducah Foundation President. “Your company will gain better relationships with local businesses and organizations, form new personal and professional contacts, develop better insight into our community’s opportunities and needs, and gain an employee with improved communication skills and leadership potential.”

Since its inception in 1984, over 650 participants have graduated from the program. Selection of class participants is conducted by the Leadership Paducah Foundation Board of Directors.
