Includes expanded training services
FLORENCE, Ky. (Oct. 7, 2015) — Gateway Community and Technical College announced today the launch of Gateway Corporate College, a restructuring and new name for its workforce training and community education division. The new Gateway Corporate College will blend the college’s existing offerings with expanded training services.
“Corporate College is a response to conversations we have had with business leaders regarding their need, how we can serve that need and better communicate what we offer at Gateway,” said Carissa Schutzman, vice president of Gateway Corporate College. “We are building on a commitment to excellence established by Gateways Workforce Solutions.”
Corporate College offers four main areas of service to business and the community: continuing education, online learning, testing services and workforce solutions. Enhanced service in these areas includes business consulting, training needs analysis, comprehensive, long-term training strategies and Return on Investment (ROI) measurement for companies.
New associate vice president of Gateway Corporate College Jerrod Young brings extensive experience in manufacturing, engineering and education and will work to expand credit and noncredit offerings.
“I’ve put on my seatbelt. I’m buckled up and ready for the challenge,” Young said. “I look forward to bringing my experience with manufacturing to serving the business community through Gateway Corporate College.”
