Two local big names in marine industry form partnership

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 10, 2012) – Darling Yacht and Ship Builders and Paradigm Yacht Sales, two veteran companies in the boating and marine industry, have formed a partnership that will allow them to leverage their respective resources to build and market custom-designed commercial and recreational vessels from start to finish.

The two companies recently completed their first project together — the development and production of a new 56-foot all aluminum excursion boat custom-built for a client in Minnesota. The new vessel will be used for private charters for up to 50 passengers, and it features a large open deck with a canopy. It is powered by two Cummins 330 HP diesel engines that enable the boat to travel at speeds over 30 miles per hour when no passengers are on board, allowing for maximum utilization by the charter company.

Darling Yacht and Ship Builders was founded in1991 and is led by Dan Darling, who is a third-generation marine builder. Located directly on the Ohio River in Jeffersonville, Ind., Darling houses a full service commercial and recreational vessel shipyard well qualified in new construction and repair of vessels up to 140 feet.

Paradigm Yacht Sales has offices in Louisville and Cape Coral, Fla., and serves both the Midwest and Florida marine markets.
