Terrence Jones helps celebrate Kentucky Spirit’s office in Lexington

UK basketball star Terrence Jones assists Kentucky Spirit CEO Jean Rush, Lexington Mayor Jim Gray and other Kentucky Spirit officials cut the ribbon at the health plan's office in Chase Tower.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 10, 2012) — Kentucky Spirit Health Plan celebrated the opening of its office in Lexington on Thursday with a ribbon cutting and an appearance by UK Wildcat Terrence Jones.

The basketball star helped CEO Jean Rush and Mayor Jim Gray cut the ribbon, then signed tiny basketballs and posed for photos with Kentucky Spirit employees and others who attended the open house.

Kentucky Spirit Health Plan, a subsidiary of Centene Corp., is designed specifically for Kentucky residents who qualify for Medicaid, and members are adults and children from 104 Kentucky counties.

The company has about 200 employees across the state, most of whom are based in Lexington.
