Greater Louisville Inc releases 2016 Legislative Agenda

Louisville, Ky.  – Greater Louisville Inc., the metro chamber of commerce, has released their 2016 Legislative Agenda, along with the organization’s long-term policy and bi-state initiatives.

“The 2016 session of the Kentucky General Assembly will be extremely important for the future of Commonwealth,” said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs & Strategy. “Greater Louisville Inc. is thrilled to unveil an ambitious agenda that will help guide the discussion for 2016 and beyond.  We are pushing for serious reforms to put Kentucky on the road to prosperity.”

As the region’s largest business leadership organization, Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) engages the area’s public and private sectors in developing a strong pro-business advocacy program for the entire Greater Louisville Region.  The organization engages a broad cross-section of the business community to help craft policy positions on economic development, education, infrastructure, environmental and energy, tax, and health care issues.  The agenda is aligned with Advantage Louisville, GLI’s comprehensive regional economic growth strategy.

“GLI is proud to celebrate the elected officials working to advance the economy in our 15 county, bi-state region by promoting a pro-business environment and facilitating business leadership engagement on issues that impact regional competitiveness,” said GLI President and CEO Kent Oyler. “GLI is in the business of advocating for business-friendly policies at the local, state, and federal levels.”
