Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Cypress acquires Realty Executives in Richmond

Lexington, Ky. – Lexington-based Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Cypress has acquired Realty Executives of the Blue Grass, expanding the former’s reach into Richmond and its surrounding communities.

The company will move forward under the leadership of new principal broker Kenny Whalen, along with co-owners Nick Ratliff, Kim Soper, David Graves and Brian Lubeck.

“Our team is thrilled be the first to bring such an iconic, well-respected brand to Richmond,” said Whalen. “As a proud graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, I’ve been personally invested in Richmond for more than 20 years, and I can confidently say that the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand closely aligns with the strong core values of our tight-knit community.”

The acquisition enables Better Homes to better serve clients across the entire state, especially within the booming Richmond real estate industry. The brokerage will also serve as the exclusive representatives of Payne Homes, Central Kentucky’s prolific residential homebuilders.

“Richmond is the perfect next step in expanding our reach, as it fully embraces the lifestyle-centric approach of our brand,” said Michael Martin, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Cypress’ new director of recruitment. “I look forward to sharing our extensive local knowledge through unparalleled customer service and a commitment to community service, for which we already are known in Lexington.”

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Cypress was founded in 2010 and has been part of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate network since January 2015. The growing Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate network includes more than 9,500 affiliated sales associates and approximately 290 offices serving home buyers and sellers across the United States and Canada.
