CPE senior associate receives Friend of KACTE award

FRANKFORT, Ky. (May 14, 2012) —Jillian Starman, senior associate at the Council on Postsecondary Education, received the “Friend of KACTE 2012” award from the Kentucky Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.

KACTE recognized Starman for her leadership in providing faculty development and training focused on Senate Bill 1 (2009) initiatives. SB 1 is Kentucky’s P-20 statewide education reform initiative.

The KACTE membership consists of deans, department chairs, faculty and staff of higher education’s colleges, schools and departments of education, which prepare initial and advanced teacher candidates and educational administrators for P-12 schools.

KACTE is a state affiliate of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
