Buy Local Fair scheduled for May 22 in Louisville

More than 8,000 people attended last year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (APRIL 28, 2016) — The Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) will host the Buy Local Fair from noon to 6 p.m. on May 22 at Louisville Water Tower Park. Admission is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Last year more than 8,000 people attended the fair.

This year’s fair will include more than 200 booths from local businesses, artists and craftspeople, community organizations, and farmers. Also available will be a craft beer tent, 25 food and drink vendors, a cooking competition, aerial circus, silent auction and children’s activities.

The cooking competition will feature a showdown between Shawn Ward of Ward 426 and Patrick Roney of Harvest. The chefs will be given a basket of mystery ingredients and will have 30 minutes to create a dish for a panel of judges.
