Halters worn by American Pharoah and other famous horses to be auctioned for charity

Auction part of CKRH’s gala fundraiser

Lexington, KY – (June 6, 2016) – Halters worn by Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and Kentucky Derby winners Animal Kingdom, California Chrome and Smarty Jones as well as world-famous stallions including Distorted Humor, Dubawi, Medaglia d’Oro and War Front are being
offered in an online auction to raise money for Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, the 35-year-old
program at the Kentucky Horse Park that offers equine-assisted activities and therapies to people of all
ages.

The halters are part of the Silent Auction in CKRH’s annual gala fundraiser, NIGHT OF THE STARS, on
Saturday, June 18, at the Keene Barn & Entertainment Center at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky. Online
bidding on the halters and other items is available at https://e.gesture.com/events/4PR/

“CKRH is extremely grateful for the support of prominent Central Kentucky Thoroughbred farms who
donated halters of famous horses, which have become a signature feature of the Silent Auction during
NIGHT OF THE STARS,” CKRH Executive Director Pat Kline said.

Farms that donated halters are Adena Springs, Calumet Farm, Claiborne Farm, Coolmore’s Ashford
Stud, Darley, Gainesway, Spendthrift Farm, Taylor Made Farm, Three Chimneys Farm and WinStar
Farm.

Other stallions with halters in the auction include American Pharoah’s sire, Pioneerof the Nile, and
