LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 1, 2012) — Alan Stein, recently retired from Ivy Walls Management Company and the Lexington Legends, has formed SteinGroup, LLC, a business development and management consultant company.
“I thought I might spend some time away from work as I’ve been working since I was a kid. But it wasn’t to be,” Stein said. “There is so much I want to be involved in and decided I had a great opportunity to use my experience with sports, marketing, business and advertising to create a new entity in order to help companies exceed their expectations.”
The company’s mission is to create a business development and management consulting company that tackles barriers and problems, and creates innovative ideas and opportunities through deliberate alliances, using a personal, hands-on approach, Stein said.
Joining Stein at SteinGroup, LLC is Sandra Noble Canon as the chief administrative officer. She was formerly with Community Ventures Corporation as a senior executive vice president. Margaret Hill is serving as the executive assistant and Rodes Smith is an account executive.
Backed by several local investors, SteinGroup’s client base includes a diverse mix of for-profit and non-profit companies working on enhanced profiles, online education, virtual imaging, commercial aviation and real estate.
SteinGroup will continue to serve in the world of professional sports, and also represents small business and public figures.
