LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 15, 2012) — Barbara Edelman, a partner in Dinsmore’s Lexington office, has been named one of the Top 250 Women in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation. The guide’s results are the culmination of a six-month research period that allowed researchers to conduct extensive interviews with litigators and their clients across the United States.
In her practice, Edelman maintains extensive complex litigation experience focusing on commercial litigation and many types of business disputes. She also has litigated many wrongful discharge, non-competition and employment-related cases. She previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Kentucky.
Edelman was recently recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” in Lexington for appellate law by The Best Lawyers in America. She has also been named a “Leading Woman in Central Kentucky” by Business Lexington, one of the “Top Women in Business” by the Lane Report, and is recognized for her work in commercial litigation in Chambers USA and Kentucky Super Lawyers. Edelman earned her J.D. and B.B.A. from the University of Kentucky.
