Gov. Bevin names magistrate for Oldham County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 19, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed Christopher Haunz, of Pewee Valley, as magistrate for the Fifth District of Oldham County, to replace J.D. Sparks, who has resigned.

A lifelong resident of Oldham County, Haunz graduated from Trinity High School before earning an accounting degree at Bellarmine University. He currently works as a real estate agent with Finish Line Realty and is active on multiple community boards, including the Pewee Valley Fire Protection District and the Oldham County Code Enforcement Board.

Haunz will serve until this position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2018 midterm election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
