LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 18, 2012) — Chris Whelan, vice president of communications for LG&E and KU Energy, will serve as chairwoman of the 2013 Kentucky Derby Festival.
She was selected last week at the Kentucky Derby Festival board of directors annual meeting.
The festival is a two-week long community-wide celebration of more than 70 events celebrating the Kentucky Derby.
