Contract expires July 31
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2017) — Northern Kentucky University President Geoffrey S. Mearns has notified the Board of Regents that he will not renew his contract that expires on July 31.
Mearns today was named president of Ball State University. He has been president of NKU since August 2012.
More information surrounding the presidential transition will be announced over the coming weeks, including the timing of Mearns’ departure, the naming of an interim president, and the creation of a search committee.
