National Quilt Museum earns 2012 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence

PADUCAH, Ky. (June 20, 2012) — The National Quilt Museum announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence award. The award, which honors excellence in tourism and hospitality, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.

The National Quilt Museum is listed in the “tourism destinations” category. Approximately 10 percent of tourism destinations listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.

“The only way to get this recognition is through visitor reviews,” said Frank Bennett, CEO of the National Quilt Museum. “The Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor solidifies our place as one of the top cultural destinations in the United States.”

The National Quilt Museum is an internationally recognized art museum that exhibits the finest quilting and fiber art in the world. In an average year, the museum is visited by quilters and art lovers from all 50 states and over 40 countries worldwide. The museum is the largest tourist attraction in Paducah, Ky., and one of the largest attractions in Kentucky. In addition to exhibits, the museum also conducts educational workshops for adults and youth throughout the year.
