WILMORE, Ky. (March 6, 2017) — Asbury University has opened its own physical therapy clinic. A fully functional outpatient clinic located in Asbury’s Luce Center, the Physical Therapy Clinic is currently open to Asbury students and student athletes and will serve faculty and staff in the near future.

Professor Elise Kearns, director of the clinic and assistant professor of exercise science at Asbury, said the clinic will provide a variety of services including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal pain treatment and promotion of wellness including personalized exercise plans.

The clinic offers academic benefits, as well. Exercise science, pre-physical therapy and pre-occupational therapy students will have opportunities to be aides in the clinic and to complete practicum and internship credits. Graduate students from other institutions will also have opportunities to complete internships under Kearns’ instruction.
