King Southern Bank BourbonVille set for Thursday in Louisville

Part of Derby Festival

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 7, 2017) — The King Southern Bank BourbonVille, an inaugural event as part of the Kentucky Derby Festival, will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Louisville Palace.

thumbnail_Bourbonville“With Louisville at the center of the Bourbon boom, it seemed like the perfect time to add a bourbon event to the Derby Festival’s line-up,” said Mike Berry, Kentucky Derby Festival president and CEO. “We want this to be a unique experience for bourbon lovers, and those who are new to the drink.”

BourbonVille will feature signature cocktails from several Kentucky Bourbon Distilleries, including Evan Williams, Jim Beam, Four Roses, Flat Boat, Woodford Reserve and Old Forester. There also will also be opportunities to mix and mingle with the master distillers and brand ambassadors.

Bourbon-inspired cuisine also will be available, including gourmet cheese boards, smoked brisket on bourbon butter mashed potatoes, gourmet deviled eggs with smoked bacon and bourbon paprika and smoked salmon cake with bourbon caper sauce.

Each of the distilleries will build custom bars. There will be a silent auction featuring bourbon inspired packages with everything from bourbon cocktail mixes and apparel to barrel heads and collectibles. Liquor Barn is also hosting a cigar and bourbon lounge, where it will present its own bourbons and top cigars.
