Tonight’s U.S. Bank Great Balloon Glow postponed until Saturday

Severe weather expected

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 28, 2017) — The Derby Festival is postponing tonight’s U.S. Bank Great Balloon Glow due to the threat of severe weather. It will be rescheduled for Saturday night at the same time and location, weather permitting.

 Other events:

  • The Daya concert at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront is still on for tonight, but will be delayed if there is inclement weather in the area.
  • The Ohio Valley Wrestling Run for the Ropes event will be moved to the Danny Davis Arena at 4400 Shepherdsville Road, due to the predicted inclement weather.
  • The Marathon and minimarathon Presented by Walmart and Humana is set to start on time tomorrow morning, as any severe weather is expected to be clear of the area.  Race organizers are already ahead of schedule with set-up based on the weather information they’ve been monitoring round the clock.
