Work on Man O’ War in Lexington will impact traffic starting Monday night

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 17, 2017) – Work to lengthen the turn lanes from Man O’ War Boulevard onto Alumni Drive will begin tonight. There will be some impact on traffic.

The project’s first phase will involve lengthening the right turn lane some 300 feet. Work on this section will primarily take place during the day but will also involve limited night work. A portion of the existing turn lane will be closed during this time to allow for the new section.

The second phase will involve lengthening the left turn lane. Work on this section will primarily take place at night to lessen the impact on traffic. For safety reasons, the left lanes of Man O’ War in both directions between Pimlico Drive and Alumni Drive will be closed during work times.

It is expected to take between 30 and 40 days to complete each section. The entire project could take up to 90 days.
