Menards buys 34 acres at corner of Preston Highway and Cooper Chapel Road in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 31, 2017) – Menards bought a 34-acre assemblage at the southeast corner of Preston Highway and Cooper Chapel Road, which was comprised of more than 13 lots and multiple sellers, Horizon Commercial Realty announced on Monday.

Menards, a Wisconsin-based hardware and home improvement company, is approved for a one-story, 207,000-s.f. store at the site. The location will be Louisville’s first Menards store. The chain currently has more than 300 stores in 14 states across the Midwest.

Horizon represented Menards in August 2016, when the chain purchased 38.5 acres of land in Elizabethtown’s RobinBrooke mixed-use development.
