The Rawlings Group expanded its La Grange headquarters and is adding 40 new jobs every 60 days to grow from 1,300 employees to 1,950 by 2019. Apellis Pharmaceuticals is developing medications to help people with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Revon Systems launched an app helping patients take charge of their chronic conditions and avoiding unnecessary hospital visits. Two new hotels are planning construction in La Grange.
More than 10,000 visitors take in Oldham Farm Tours each year from April through October, an agritourism program featuring 15 hands-on experiences, including one of the few working dairy farms in the commonwealth.
Oldham County was established in 1823 and named after Revolutionary War officer Col. William Oldham.
