The inaugural flight from Cincinnati to Iceland will commence May 10, 2018. Tickets go on sale today and can be purchased at www.wowair.us.

Today’s addition will help bring the airline’s total number of U.S. destinations to 12 since its successful North American launch at Boston Logan International Airport in March 2015.

“WOW air is very excited to bring our flight services to Cincinnati,” said Skúli Mogensen, CEO and Founder of WOW air. “We are proud to partner with Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to provide the lowest fares possible over the Atlantic to Greater Cincinnati area travelers. Our goal is to help make international travel truly a possibility for everyone.”

WOW air’s expansion across the Midwest will provide millions of Americans with affordable access to major European cities including Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris and London.

“Connecting the Tri-State community with additional nonstop international destinations has been a priority for CVG,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “WOW Air is one of the fastest growing, low-cost transatlantic carriers. With this new service, local travelers will not only have the benefit of nonstop travel to Iceland, but one-stop, low-cost service to more than 20 destinations across Europe, Israel and Canary Islands. We’re thrilled to be one of WOW’s newest U.S. markets, and look forward to growing their service from CVG.”

“We’re proud to welcome WOW Air to the region with their new nonstop transatlantic service from CVG,” said J. Michael Schlotman, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “The addition of WOW Air to our family of air carriers further diversifies our international product offering, and complements what’s happening on our domestic network. Thanks to the support from travelers across our region, we are confident WOW Air will be wildly successful at CVG, and will provide a valuable service to the community.”

“CVG has proven to be one of the fastest growing airports in the country over the last three years,” said Kris Knochelmann, Judge Executive Kenton County. “The addition of international service by WOW Air will not only provide new quality low-cost service at CVG, but will continue to expand the growing economic impact CVG has on our region.”
