Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 5, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

Melody Stafford, William Schult, Stacey Watkins, Dr. Jerry Roberts and Teresa Aldridge have been appointed to the Advisory Council for Medical Assistance.

  • Melody Stafford, of Owenton, is a registered nurse and community development manager for Triad Health Systems, Inc. She will represent consumer advocacy groups and serve for a term expiring April 15, 2021.
  • William Schult, of Crescent Springs, is managing director and president of IKOR Care Management. He will represent consumer advocacy groups and serve for a term expiring April 15, 2021.
  • Stacey Watkins, of Lexington, is a registered nurse at Baptist Health Lexington. She will represent the elderly and serve for a term expiring April 15, 2021.
  • Dr. Jerry Roberts, of Somerset, is a podiatrist at Cumberland Foot and Ankle. He will represent the Kentucky Board of Podiatry and serve for a term expiring April 15, 2021.
  • Teresa Aldridge, of Campbellsville, is operational manager and owner of American Mobility Products, Inc. She will represent the Medical Equipment Suppliers Association and serve for a term expiring April 15, 2021. 

The Advisory Council for Medical Assistance is comprised of 18 members, 17 of whom are gubernatorial appointees. The Council advises the Secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and the Commissioner for Medicaid Services on the administration and operation of the Medical Assistance Program.
