BANKING/FINANCE

Luke A. Bobey has joined KBS Capital Markets Group in Louisville as regional vice president for the Ohio River region.

EDUCATION

Quentin Tyler  has been named assistant dean for diversity and director of the University of Kentucky’s College of Agriculture’s office for diversity.

John Y. Walz has been named dean of the University of Kentucky College of Engineering. Walz comes to the position from Virginia Polytechnic and State University, where he was department head of chemical engineering.

Barbara LoMonaco has been appointed vice president for student affairs and dean of students at Transylvania University.

Daniel W. Pack has been named the inaugural Ashland Inc. chair in chemical engineering at the University of Kentucky.

Dr. William Guido has been named as the new chairman of the Department of Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Guido succeeds Fred Roisen, Ph.D., who has retired.

Susan Duncan, associate dean of academic affairs and faculty development at the University of Louisville’s Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, has been named interim dean of the school.

FOOD SERVICE/HOSPITALITY

Craig Sherwood has been named vice president of franchise development for Fazoli’s, a Lexington-based Italian quick-serve restaurant chain.

GOVERNMENT

Fred Nesler has been named deputy executive director of the Office of Strategic Planning and Administration in the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.

HEALTHCARE

Steve Guenthner has been promoted to president and principal financial officer of Almost Family Inc., a Louisville-based company that provides home health and personal care services.

Dr. Bernard Boulanger has been named chief medical officer for UK HealthCare. Boulanger succeeds Dr. Paul DePriest, who has accepted a position in Tennessee.

LEGAL

Bruce Simpson Jr. has joined Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC’s Lexington office. Simpson will work in the real estate finance and development and litigation practices as counsel to firm.

PHARMACEUTICALS

Fabrice Egros has been appointed chief operating officer of Newport-based Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals Inc.

OTHER

Larry Hayes, secretary of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, has been appointed by Gov. Steve Beshear to serve as chair of the Louisville Arena Authority. He replaces Jim Host, who recently resigned from the post. Hayes will continue to serve as the state’s economic development secretary.

Vince Macciocchi has been named chief operating officer for Erlanger-based Wild Flavors Inc.’s North American operations.
