Louisville company creates official online store for hit movie ‘Ted’

A throw pillow with the title character from the movie Ted is available, along with other products, on an official online movie store by CafePress of Louisville.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 10, 2012) — CafePress Inc. (Nasdaq:PRSS), The World’s Customization Engine(TM) and Universal Pictures have teamed up to create the official online store for this summer’s blockbuster movie “Ted.” The collection is inspired by the hit comedy about a boy and his love for his sharp-tongued, beer drinking, talking teddy bear.

“Ted” was written and directed by Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane, who also stars as the voice of Ted. The live action/CG-animated movie, which is rated R, tells the story of John Bennett (played by Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish and has refused to leave his side ever since.

The selection of t-shirts and gear features a selection of movie moments and notable quotables.

Shoppers also will have the option of buying their own life-sized replicas of the foul-mouthed, anthropomorphic plush pal.

“CafePress is excited to bring Ted’s shenanigans to life,” said Marc Cowlin, director of marketing at CafePress.com. “We had such fun working on this project. Ted had so many great moments and one-liners that are perfect for gear — it was difficult to choose. Ted is truly a film that people will quote from for years.”
