LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 31, 2017) — Louisville-based digital agency Blackstone Media was announced as a recent winner in the 12th Annual W3 Awards, taking home a Gold for its work on the Brown-Forman flagship wine brand —Sonoma-Cutrer — in the Website Features/Visual Appeal/Experience category.
The W³ Awards is a national award competition that strives to honor creative excellence on the Web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning websites, web video and online marketing programs. Sanctioned by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), this year’s W3 Awards program received over 5,000 submissions.
“The creativity and quality of this season’s entries raised the bar once again. As our connected world continues to expand in new and exciting ways, our winners are a true testament to the power of Web creativity across the world,” Derek Howard, director of the AIVA said.
Blackstone recently launched the award-winning website for Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards, which is Brown-Forman’s sole wine brand. The new, interactive site showcases the craftsmanship that Sonoma-Cutrer has been utilizing since 1981 to create award-winning Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.
“This relationship has been key to our ability to streamline an immersive shopping experience and educate our audience on what makes the Sonoma-Cutrer brand so special,” said Hope Helton, Brown-Forman digital marketing and eCommerce manager.
This is the agency’s third consecutive successful W3 Awards season. Blackstone has won top honors for its work since 2015 and continues to differentiate itself in the market through its data-driven research process.
