Allegiant announces new, nonstop service to Austin from SDF in November

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Allegiant Air announced a new, nonstop service to Texas’ Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) beginning November 18, 2021, marking a new record high of 36 nonstop destinations for the airport. These flights provide convenient connectivity between bourbon country and the live music capital of the world.

“We are grateful that Allegiant sees the strength of the Louisville market and continues to invest in our community with service to Austin,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “There is a lot of positive momentum at SDF as we continue to see robust air service growth and passenger traffic climbing to near-record levels. The announcement from Allegiant is another great win for area travelers and we appreciate their ongoing commitment to the airport.”

The year-round flights will be offered twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, using an Airbus A320 with 186-seats. To celebrate, Allegiant is offering special, low-fares on-sale now at www.Allegiant.com.

Austin is one of the largest unserved markets from SDF. The area, affectionately known as “Silicon Hills” for its emergence as a popular destination for high-tech companies, is also one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities and a popular tourist destination.

Beginning service at SDF in 2017, Allegiant has rapidly grown to 12 nonstop routes following today’s announcement. In addition to Austin, Allegiant also offers nonstop service to Charleston, SC, Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, New Orleans, Orland-Sanford, Punta Gorda, St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Savannah and Sarasota.
