LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Greater Louisville Inc. announced it will award two scholarships for outstanding members of the business community to attend GLIDE: Indianapolis. The purpose of these scholarships is to give two engaged members of the Greater Louisville community the opportunity to participate in this exciting, innovative study mission.
The application is open to professionals from across the region – including entrepreneurs, regional business partners, next-generation professionals, and individuals who want to make a difference in the community.
“GLIDE is most successful when we have attendees from all backgrounds bringing their perspectives and observations back to Greater Louisville. These scholarships will eliminate financial barriers and allow two outstanding members of our community to lead change in Greater Louisville by observing best practices in another city,” said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of Greater Louisville Inc.
The scholarships will cover $2,000 of the $2,500 registration cost, which includes transportation, lodging, meals, and programming. Applications are open now until September 10th. All applications will be reviewed by an independent selection committee and both recipients will be notified by September 20th.
Recipients will be chosen based on merit and their ability to bring unique and diverse perspectives to the GLIDE trip.
GLIDE is an annual, invitation-only executive program for regional business and community leaders, as well as elected officials. The 2021 trip to Indianapolis presented by Norton Healthcare will be the 36th event and will be held October 27th – 29th. The focus of this year’s trip is maximizing economic development through the chamber of commerce leadership and advancing equity.
