MT. STERLING, Ky. — Traditional Bank and its parent Traditional Bancorporation Inc. are pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Avent to its board of directors. Founded in 1902 in Mt. Sterling, Traditional Bank is an independent, community bank with 16 Kentucky banking centers and a loan production office in Louisville. William Bramblet, who joined the bank in 1984, serves as Chairman of the Board.
Avent is the Managing Director of Wealth Management at Unified Trust, a division of American Trust, with more than 20 years of investment experience creating, implementing, and monitoring high-level solutions for wealth management clients.
He is responsible for the coordination and management of the strategic planning, budgeting, ongoing operations, and sales management for the Wealth Management division. As a member of the Trust Investment Committee and Trust Executive Committee, he participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
He received a BBA in Finance and a BS in Economics from the University of Kentucky’s Carol Martin Gatton College of Business and Economics in 1998. He has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies and the Certified Financial Planner™ certification.
Avent serves on the board of the Downtown Lexington Corporation and was a member of the 2012-2013 Central KY Leadership Class. He has two children with his wife of more than 20 years. He enjoys golf, baseball, water sports, reading, and spending time with family.
