Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Airport unveils $6.1M renovation

 

COVINGTON, Ky. — The 120 guestroom Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Airport unveiled a fresh look this week following a $6.1 million dollar renovation that features a new contemporary exterior and interior design, Commonwealth Hotels announced.

Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Airport revealed its new look with a grand reopening celebration on Wednesday. It is located near the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport and offers easy interstate accessibility. It provides business and leisure travelers with easy access to Northern Kentucky and downtown Cincinnati.

“We are delighted to unveil this renovation at a time when we are beginning to see business and leisure travel return,” said Jennifer Porter, chief operating officer for Commonwealth Hotels. “It is truly a pleasure to welcome guests back in our brand new hotel.”

The renovation includes all guestrooms and public spaces, including lobby, bistro, breakfast area, bar, meeting space and fitness center.

Mark Aftanski

Founded in 1986, the Covington-based company has extensive experience managing premium full-service and select-service hotels. Commonwealth Hotels currently manages 51 properties with nearly 6,700 rooms.

In October, Mark Aftanski joined the Commonwealth Hotels team as vice president of operations, where he will oversee a group of diverse assets, providing leadership to achieve hotel performance, guest satisfaction, associate engagement and owners’ investment goals. He brings over 25 years of brand and multi-unit experience to his new role. Aftanski previously was chief operating officer for ChrisBro Hospitality.
