Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Appointed Tina Roark as Magistrate for the Second District of Knox County.

Appointed Tracey Bonzo to the vacancy in the office of Property Valuation Administrator for Nelson County, effective March 1, 2022.

Appointed R.J. Palmer, Michael Wright and F. Bruce Williams as members of the Board of Directors of the Employers’ Mutual Insurance Authority. Reappointed Joseph Koester.

  • R.J. Palmer of Winchester is senior vice president at Compass Municipal Advisors. He replaces Lisa Clark, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Michael Wright of Louisville is retired. He replaces Brian Evans, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2025.
  • F. Bruce Williams of Louisville is senior pastor at Bates Memorial Baptist Church. He replaces Rebecca Hedgspeth, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Joseph Koester of Villa Hills is president of Herzog Jewelers and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2025.

Appointed Thomas Claycomb and Andrew Games as members of the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Board of Directors.

  • Thomas Claycomb of Hodgenville is an attorney at Claycomb Law Office. He replaces Zane Chambers, who has resigned, and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Sep. 11, 2025.
  • Andrew Games of Elizabethtown is vice president of the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation. He replaces Paul Witten, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Feb. 18, 2025.

Appointed Robert Ramey and Jack Morris as members of the Madisonville Community and Technical College Board of Directors.

  • Robert Ramey of Madisonville is CEO of Baptist Health Deaconess. He replaces Alan Thorner, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Feb. 21, 2028.
  • Jack Morris of Madisonville is a realtor. He replaces Gary Carver, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Feb. 21, 2028.

Appointed Rita Smart and David Son as members of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Board of Directors and the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation Board of Directors.

  • Rita Smart of Richmond is retired. She replaces Wesley Cornett, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Feb. 21, 2026.
  • David Son of Louisville is an attorney. He replaces Neil Quinlan, whose term has expired, and shall serve a term expiring Feb. 21, 2026.

Appointed Lois Weinberg as a member of the Tourism Development Finance Authority.

  • Lois Weinberg of Hindman is executive director of IDEA: Center for Excellence. She replaces Lois Mateus, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Feb. 8, 2026.

Appointed Kevin Butt and John Gregory as members of the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board.

  • Kevin Butt of Georgetown is senior director of environmental sustainability at Toyota. He replaces Robert Southard, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Oct. 7, 2022.
  • John Gregory of Louisville is executive director of adult education at the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. He replaces Jacqueline Korengel and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Oct. 7, 2024.
