Glenview Trust Co. expanding into Bowling Green market

LOUISVILLE, Ky.The Glenview Trust Co. will expand this fall with the opening of a new office in Bowling Green. The location will be the Louisville-headquartered wealth management firm’s third office in Kentucky, with the second opening last year in Lexington. Greg Wassom be investment principal and Elizabeth McKinney trust principal at the new office.

Glenview is one of the largest independent trust companies in the commonwealth with more than 850 client relationships and $18.5 billion in client assets under administration.

The new office is slated to open later this fall, with the hiring of additional staff. The firm is evaluating locations in the office. The move allows Glenview Trust a local presence to service existing clients and attract other in the area.

Wassom has more than 30 years of experience in the investment and finance industry. He previously served as senior portfolio manager with U.S. Bank within the Private Wealth Management Group. Wassom holds a bachelor of finance from Western Kentucky University and an MBA from the University of Mississippi. He is credentialed as a Chartered Financial Analysts and Certified Financial Planner.

McKinney brings 27 years of legal expertise to her role at Glenview Trust. She most recently served as legal counsel at English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley LLP in Bowling Green, where she specialized in estate planning, probate and corporate law. She has served on the boards of numerous civic and non-profit organizations including the Center for Courageous Kids, Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Foundation and the Arts of Southern Kentucky.
