Kentucky Science Center names new board members

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Science Center recently named several new members to its Board of Directors. Hailing from various industries, these new Board appointees will use their expertise to help lead Kentucky’s State Science Center, including its flagship location on Louisville’s Museum Row.  

Members of Kentucky Science Center’s Board of Directors hail from across the Commonwealth and serve for a minimum of three years.  Each Board member provides a primary link between Kentucky Science Center and their local community. They are essential to the organization’s strength, and each serves an important volunteer role. Kentucky Science Center’s goal is to provide rewarding and enjoyable Board service as well as to help Board members leverage their special skills, talents, and connections on the Science Center’s behalf. 

New Kentucky Science Center Board Members for FY2023 include:

  • Becky Johnson, Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS)
  • Harmony Little, Kentucky Community Technical College System (KCTCS)
  • Heidi Konynenbelt, LG&E/KU
  • Dr. Ben Malphrus, Morehead State University
  • Derrick Miller, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)
  • Veena Reddy, Schmidt Associates
  • Michael Shaffer, Beam Suntory
  • Chris Teeley, Brown Forman
  • Ronald Vonderhaar, Lexmark
