Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Appointed Gene Rice, Logan Willett and Wesley Wolfe as City Commissioners for the City of Waverly, Kentucky.

Appointed Jennifer Collins, Meredith Figg and LaDonna Rogers as members of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.

  • Jennifer Collins of London is a retired teacher. She replaces Laura Harper, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028.
  • Meredith Figg of Beaver Dam is a pharmacist at Rice’s Pharmacy. She replaces Lucas Mentzer, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028.
  • LaDonna Rogers of Glasgow is executive vice president of engagement and culture at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She replaces Richard Nelson, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028.

Appointed Brandon Edmiston as a member of the Murray State University Board of Regents.

  • Brandon Edmiston of Murray is the owner of Edmiston Holdings LLC. He replaces Sam Aguiar, who was not confirmed by the Senate, and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2027.

Appointed Brian Lavin as a member of the University of Louisville Board of Trustees.

  • Brian Lavin of Prospect is president and CEO of NTS Development Company. He replaces Scott Brinkman, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 13, 2029.

Appointed Thomas Ballinger, Gregory Cecil, Mark Nethery and Jerry Ravenscraft as members of the Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission.

  • Thomas Ballinger of Jetson is a farmer and disabled veteran. He replaces Brian Fisher, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2026.
  • Gregory Cecil of Munfordville is the principal at Hart County High School. He replaces Brian Mackey, who was not confirmed by the Senate, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Mark Nethery of Louisville is a farmer and freelance writer. He replaces Ralph Swallows, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2026.
  • Jerry Ravenscraft of Morehead is a field representative at the Kentucky Department for Local Government. He replaces Jeffery Morgan, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2026.

Appointed Samuel Wright as a member of the Board of Claims.

  • Samuel Wright of Mayking is a former justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court. He replaces Michael Plummer, who was not confirmed by the Senate, and shall serve for a term expiring June 29, 2023.

Appointed Amy Lingo and Lisa Rudzinski as members of the Education Professional Standards Board.

  • Amy Lingo of Shelbyville is interim dean and professor at the University of Louisville College of Education and Human Development. She replaces Julian Vasquez Heilig, who has resigned, and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2023.
  • Lisa Rudzinski of Salvisa is a principal at Fayette County Public Schools. She replaces Traci Morris Hunt, who has resigned, and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2025.
