Appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

Appointed Stephanie Bolen as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 3rd Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.

Appointed Ashton McKenzie as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 21st Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.

Appointed Ben Hale as a member of the Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Nominating Committee.

  • Ben Hale of Prestonsburg is retired. He replaces Robert Leo Miller, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 16, 2023.

Appointed Joseph Berry as a member of the Early Childhood Advisory Council.

  • Joseph Berry of Owensboro is the executive director of the Public Life Foundation of Owensboro. He replaces John Roden, who has resigned and shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2024.

Appointed Julia Weigel as a member of the Kentucky 911 Services Board.

  • Julia Weigel of Louisville is a project manager at Verizon Wireless. She replaces Michael Johnson, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring March 1, 2025.

Appointed Leah Dozer as a member of the Kentucky Assistive Technology Loan Corporation Board of Directors.

  • Leah Dozer of Louisville is a mortgage loan originator at Independence Bank. She replaces Jacqueline Butts, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring March 1, 2027.

Aappointed Jimmy Cantrell as a member of the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund Board.

  • Jimmy Cantrell of Hartford is the program director of ARCH. He replaces Paul Sheets, whose term has expired, and shall serve for a term expiring March 1, 2026.
