Wilson and Muir Bank and Trust Co. has announced the appointment of two new members to its board, Kate Shapira Latts and Gregory A. Bernard.

Kate Shapira Latts is the co-president for family-owned and led Heaven Hill Brands, which is now the nation’s largest independent, family-owned and operated distilled spirits producer and the fifth-largest overall spirits supplier in the country. A native of Louisville, Kate and her husband, Allan, joined Heaven Hill in 2001. She previously as Heaven Hill’schief marketing officer, overseeing brand strategy, marketing and new product development for the company’s diversified portfolio of brands. As co-presidents, Kate and Allan work collaboratively to develop and lead the execution of Heaven Hill’s strategic growth plans and corporate vision.

Kate graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1993 and with an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 1996. Prior to joining Heaven Hill, she was a brand manager in the healthcare and beauty divisions at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati.

Kate devotes significant time and energy to the community, currently serving on the board of visitors of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, the board of the Louisville Jewish Community Center, the executive board of Kentucky Performing Arts, and as vice chair on the board of commissioners for Louisville Tourism. She is also the past chair of the Kentucky Country Day School’s Fine Arts Guild and a past trustee of the Kentucky Country Day School.  Kate lives in Louisville with her husband, Allan, and is the proud parent of son Jake, Yale University Class of 2025, and daughter Lindsey, Duke University Class of 2025.

Greg is a third-generation owner of Mid-Park, Inc., a manufacturing company started by his father and grandfather in a barn in Hardin Springs, Kentucky.  Greg became president and CEO in 2011 and began his generational management transition at that time.  In 2017, he bought the company from his father, Alan.  Under Greg’s leadership, revenues have doubled.

Greg obtained a bachelor’s degree in communication arts from Georgetown College and an MBA in entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville.   He lives in Leitchfield with his wife of 17 years, Jessica, and two sons, Carter and Ben.  He spends his free time distance running and playing tennis. His civic involvement includes working with the Grayson County Area Technology Center to create opportunities for students, and he is a commissioner for the Leitchfield Utilities Board.
