LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of Kentucky community will notice fencing being installed as exciting developments are on the horizon for south campus. To ensure the safety of the campus and the public ahead of the beginning of construction activity, the fencing will be placed along the perimeter of the South Lawn.

UK Campus Housing recommends residents living in Smith, Baldwin and Ingels residence halls use entrances and/or exits on the pedway side of the buildings to navigate the area during this time. University Flats residents can continue to use their normal routes to enter or exit the building.

UK Housing will continue to update campus as information becomes available. For questions, contact UK Campus Housing at [email protected].

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, UK exists to advance the commonwealth. It prepares the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. It operates 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
