Wild Eggs welcomes return of co-founder after 5 years

Wild Eggs co-founder JD Rothberg is returning to the breakfast-lunch chain as SVP operations.

LOUISVILLE — Wild Eggs, a breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant chain headquartered in Louisville, announced the return of one of its founders, JD Rothberg, who assumes the role of senior vice president of operations. Rothberg pledges to elevate Wild Eggs into the premiere breakfast place, emphasizing the importance of high-quality food, company culture and unparalleled service.

Founded in 2007, Wild Eggs was acquired by a private equity fund in January 2023. The restaurant has garnered national recognition for its innovative approach characterized by a scratch kitchens using of fresh, quality ingredients and creative, chef-driven menu. Signature dishes include the Kalamity Katie Border Benedict, Potato Head Casserole, Mexico City Chilaquiles, and the award-winning Kelsey’s KY Brown

As SVPresident of operations, Rothberg will oversee day-to-day operations. He said his goal is to continue the chain’s success and use his operational experience to help elevate the guest experience.

Rothberg left Wild Eggs in late 2019 to pursue different avenues, including most recently serving as director of operations for Bluegrass Restaurants Holdings.
