WKU in Glasgow adds social work, IECE majors to offerings

Students can now enter WKU 11 degree programs

WKU in Glasgow will increase offerings to 11 majors. The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) are majors that will be added. Other majors include Criminology, Elementary Education, Special Education/Elementary Education Dual Certification, Health Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Management – Business Administration, Middle Grades Education, Psychology, and Sociology.

“We are so excited to add new degree options for students throughout this region and give them even more options to prepare for a fulfilling career within their community,” said Dr. Derick B. Strode, campus director.

“Social work and early childhood development are two rewarding professional areas with worker shortages,” added Strode. “These programs help address that challenge, increasing the number of trained, qualified professionals to fulfill our local workforce demands.”
