Iris Wilbur Glick has opened IW Strategies, a government affairs and political consulting firm based in Louisville. The boutique firm offers a range of services, including advocacy, public policy support, nonprofit guidance, and political consulting. Glick brings substantial experience from her previous role as a principal at McCarthy Strategic Solutions, where she managed a broad portfolio that focused on areas like economic development, healthcare, taxes, education and public safety. Earlier, she was vice president of public policy and external affairs at Greater Louisville Inc., where she drove legislative priorities and spearheaded efforts in workforce development, economic policy and diversity initiatives. A seasoned political operative, Glick has worked on campaigns for gubernatorial, senate and presidential candidates, including the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Mitch McConnell’s 2014 reelection. She’s also a recognized political commentator, appearing on Kentucky Educational Television, WHAS-11 and The (Louisville) Courier-Journal. Glick is the recipient of the 2020 Young Professionals Association of Louisville Award and the Women in Government Relations’ 2020 Women Serving Women Campaign Award. She’s also been honored as one of Louisville Business First’s 2021 40 Under 40 and Kentucky Gazette’s 2020 Most Notable Women in Politics and Government.
