Blackhawk Composites Inc., a start-up manufacturer of advanced aerospace composite parts, has leased a 40,000-s.f. facility in Butler County to produce parts for the Cessna Caravan airplane, a large single-engine turboprop used for executive and cargo transport. The company will initially hire 20 employees and expects that number to grow to 30 within the first year. The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has preliminarily approved Blackhawk Composites for tax benefits up to $750,000 under the Kentucky Business Investment Program.
