Betts USA is closing its 60,000-s.f. manufacturing plant in Florence, where it produces tubes and containers for toothpaste and prescription medications. The company cited “significant trading losses” as the primary factor in the decision to close the plant. Measures to shut down operations have already begun and are expected to be complete by the end of September. The closing will affect 114 employees.
