The Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corp. has retained a Texas consulting firm to prepare a master plan for the city’s downtown revitalization efforts. The plan includes a new waterfront park overlooking the Ohio River, a new downtown hotel located on the riverfront, a 60,000-s.f. multipurpose convention center, and a cultural arts district that will include an arts academy involving local college, high school and arts agencies.
