FedEx Ground has announced plans to open a satellite distribution center in Paducah. The new facility, which is slated to open in September, will create around 50 new jobs within the next three years; that figure is expected to climb to 100 within five years. The new $4 million, 51,000-square-foot facility is part of FedEx’s network expansion plan that includes the relocation or expansion of more than 290 pickup and delivery terminals by 2010.
