State and local officials recently gathered at the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport for a ribbon-cutting ceremony the airport’s new expanded runway. Airport officials say the 8,000-foot runway will be long enough to handle all but the very largest commercial aircraft being used in the industry.
