Fazoli’s, a Lexington-based quick-serve Italian restaurant chain, plans to open a new restaurant inside a St. Louis Walmart, marking the company’s first location within a retail store. The 2,000-s.f. restaurant will seat approximately 50 customers. Fazoli’s President and CEO Carl Howard said expanding into Walmart is an important step in the chain’s efforts to develop retail and non-traditional locations, such as airports and college campuses. The company currently operates more than 220 restaurants throughout the country.
