Montgomery Chevrolet partnership to support youth baseball in Louisville

Program has benefitted more than 5 million youth

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 15, 2016) — Montgomery Chevrolet is partnering with the Highview Athletic League Inc. in Louisville as part of the Chevrolet Youth Baseball program that donates money and equipment to local youth baseball leagues, as well as provides free instructional clinics.

“Playing the game of baseball helps kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation and sportsmanship while bringing families and communities together to show their support,” said Steve Mudd, general manager for Montgomery Chevrolet. “Chevrolet believes that in play, there are possibilities and supports the spirit of teamwork that baseball instills in its players.”

Since its introduction in 2016 Chevrolet’s Youth Baseball program has helped aid local teams, benefiting more than 5 million young people in communities where Chevrolet’s customers live, work and play. In 2015, more than 1,400 Chevrolet dealers participated across the country.

Montgomery Chevrolet will present the Highview Athletic League Inc. with an equipment kit that includes bags, scorebooks, catcher’s gear and Chevrolet Youth Baseball T-shirts. The sponsorship also includes youth clinics featuring current and former MLB players and coaches, and instructors from Ripken Baseball.

In addition, Montgomery Chevrolet will present a check representing a one-time monetary contribution to Highview Athletic League Inc..  Sponsored leagues across the country will have the chance to earn additional funds as community members take test drives at their partnering dealership to help support the league.

In addition to its commitment to youth baseball, Chevrolet also is the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball.
