Vice president named for Kentucky Community and Technical College System

Will be executive director of KCTCS Foundation

VERSAILLES, Ky. (Feb. 16, 2017) — Dr. Larry Ferguson has been named vice president of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), effective March 16. He will oversee advancement, grants and contracts and alumni affairs and also will serve as the executive director of the KCTCS Foundation.

A former KCTCS vice chancellor for Economic Development and Workforce Solutions, Ferguson has been serving as president of Bevill State Community College in Jasper, Ala. He also served in leadership positions at Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) and was an instructor at ACTC and the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.Va.

Ferguson earned a doctorate of philosophy in educational leadership with a specialization in e-learning from Trident University. He earned a master of science degree in strategic leadership and a bachelor of science degree in organizational leadership from Mountain State University. He earned an associate degree with a focus in communications from ACTC.
