Four weeks of instruction
FLORENCE, Ky. (May 22, 2017) — Gateway Community & Technical College is expanding its Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training program by adding a second monthly session beginning in July.
This full-time CDL course, the only one of its kind in Northern Kentucky, is designed for those with little or no commercial driving experience who are interested a high pay, high demand field, or for companies seeking CDL certification for employees.
During four weeks of instruction in the classroom, yard and on the road, students will learn map-reading, trip-planning, Department of Transportation (DOT) rules/regulations/log books, and are trained in vehicle operation.
Applicants must be at least eighteen years of age and able to pass a federal DOT physical and drug test to qualify.
